It’s so easy to get to the end of a season or a year, and only see what you DIDN’T accomplish, not what you did.
It is important to reflect and remind oneself of the goals met and progress made.
We DIDN’T make progress on our house this year, and that’s hard, but we DID plant over 100 more trees, shrubs and perennial support plants in the orchard. We got parts of the driveway stabilized. We had our first-ever natural hatch of chicks. We had another baby, at home, unattended, off grid (that story for another day).
We brought the rest of our furniture home and began getting the storage loft in some semblance of order.
These things we did, even dealing with extreme pain and temporary disability.
It’s enough.
We can work toward greater progress this coming year, but for now, it’s enough
