When we got to mom’s on Wednesday, I had a very large pile of boxes waiting for me. My herbs arrived far sooner than I had expected them, Amazon had left a few, and a seed order I’d put in BEFORE the mail strike, that had wandered off and gotten lost, had finally arrived.

One of the things in the packages was the new zipdoor for the greenhouse tent, and the high-strength magnets to help secure it. We got that installed yesterday. It is taped on, then the inside is reinforced with tape also, then the strong magnets are dotted along the tape inside and out, and then they are taped on. It’s as secure as we can make it, considering the fragile nature of the tarping now.

This poor tent is more tape than tarp now, and we definitely need to set about getting a solid front on it this spring. But this will extend the life a tiny bit longer

I spent some time sorting out the herb order. These ones for tincture, those ones for teas, these others to refill my bulk storage. Some are destined for others, as it pleases me to share with and care for my loved ones. I have a giant batch of stress/grief/trauma tea to make, as I’ve promised it to several people who are walking out a hard season just now. I got some of the tinctures started, but I need to start a few more.
If the tiny one will cooperate by having a nap (which has been rare, lately), I need to do more weaving, too, as I’ve only managed a couple inches in the last few weeks. It’s to the point (inevitable in a long project) where I hate the sight of it and just want it done, now. I have one more quick weaving project to do after that (should only take a couple days), and then the kids want a chance to weave placemats for themselves (from thicker wool).
