Caught Up…Sort Of..

Prior to the weekend, I was entirely caught up plant-wise. All my purchased potted plants are in the ground, my winter-stratification seeds are planted and dug into the garden bed, and my greenhouse-overwinter plants are potted up and ready to be moved when it gets colder. On Sunday, though, I cadged a couple Monarda fistulosa from mom’s garden that are now needing to be dug into the orchard somewhere

I still have a pile of pots and bins to move inside the greenhouse for winter storage, and a bag or so of soil. I also still have the second garden bed to assemble, line, and get a layer of wood into. I have a couple plants I already planted that need their mulchrings and labels, and there are still the cabbages and kales in the current bed to harvest and process, and the mushroom beds need to be winterized. And I would like to finish mowing the whole orchard ONE time before snowfly.

On the non-garden side of things, the firewood is in a giant heap in the driveway and needs stacked, the kiddos’ play structure wood is sitting there and should at VERY least be measured and marked, and we really need to see if the tractor will run and make appropriate adjustments.

We’re looking into selling the engine out of the bus before it sits so long it isnt good anymore, and the tires, too, if we can manage it. Anything we can get for them goes straight into the building fund.
