This was another storm day. Even less of a storm than the last one, to be true, but windy and rainy and altogether yuck. All the same, this time it has been a couple weeks since we had rain, so the amount that fell should soak in relatively easily.
Friday, we spent getting prepared for the storm. Stowing the toys and patio furniture, making sure all the plant pots were in the shed, picking up all the loose tarping or feedbags or soil bags.
Once that was done, I had wood to stack. I got about a cord done before my asthma started being annoying again. Then I went and finished painting the tires for the next herb bed. Oncs they were dry, I got the cardboard under them, the center filled with soil, and the crown tire placed.

Yesterday, we had our Thanksgiving meal with mom, given that today was supposed to be quite gross. My contribution to the feast was a big bowl of trifle

A visit to mom’s almost always involves raiding her garden of extra or overgrown plants. This time was no different. I came home with a good handful of Asiatic lily bulbs, a tree lily, a good clump of Linum, and the other kiwi plant that had gone missing between her place and here the other day

I also brought home this year’s flax harvest, retted and dried and ready for either processing or storage.

Basically, though, we have been taking it easy. I am fighting my lungs and husband has had significant gastric distress for the last few days. Neither of us feel exactly perky.
