Water

Today was water. Pumping, hauling, heating, draining, hauling the drain buckets back out.

First, dishes. A couple different washes as they were quite greasy.

Then, a thorough cleaning of the sinks, both sides, with soap and soda and vinegar and force.

Then, laundry. We have spent the last six months hauling our laundry out to mom’s, but the weather is such now that we should be able to do it here instead. And then we won’t have to do laundry on Sabbath, either. It’s only been three days since the last laundry day, but I had two loads to do. Haul and heat, washboard and plunger, drain and squeeze and knead and heat and rinse and drain and squeeze, rinse and haul to the clothesline, run through the wringer and peg out.

More dishes.

Refill the water jugs again.

Haul soil for a change of pace. Pour 7 bags of soil into the raised bed

Mow for the half hour that the batttery lasts

Haul the tires for the new herb bed. Place. Paint. Run out of paint.

Water to wash up with

Water for hot tea

Water for the daily pitcher of switchel

Water for supper.

Water for dishes.

I am tired.
