My spring order of fruit trees arrived. This was pawpaw (x3), almondberry (which I dont actually know anything about), and an arctic-hardy type of plum tree that is resistant to the black knot canker that kills most plum and cherry trees here. I lost my plum tree at the last place to black knot. My cherry tree I lost to purple leaf spot.

I have a lot of planting to do.

I don’t think my elderberry or hickory survived the winter, and one of my blueberries looks as if it may have expired. I am hoping the honeylocusts made it, but it is a bit too early to tell. I find this time of year an anxious one. Is it dead, or did it just not break dormancy yet?

I also have asparagus crowns and onion sets to put in. Asparagus beds are a LOT of work. I am procrastinating.
