The continuing saga of the stovepipe might possibly drive me to drink.

To say I am frustrated is entirely an understatement. This has now been the longest part of the entire build. And it is the last bit, of course.

I went to pick up the pipe today. It has to come from the same store the thimble kit came from because brands don’t mix, apparently. So I checked their website, and said website said they had several in stock.

The website lied.

They had exactly ONE piece of the needed length in stock. One. I need four. I had two different employees climbing ladders and raiding shelving and rummaging the warehouse, but nope, One.

So as of right now, I have 1/4 of the chimneypipe I need. The others have been ordered, but they weren’t sure how long that would take. A couple days? A week? The last time something was to take a week, it took three.

At this rate, it will be too warm to use the stove by the time it is functional.
