Virginia Reel, Errands and Ugly-Cry songs.

Yesterday, I was away from home allllll day. We spent a grand total of one hour at home, between 830 and 930am. One of the children chose to spend that whole hour indulging in a personal drama. So fun.

Grocery store, hardware store, dollar store for sketchbooks, pencils, erasers, paintbrushes, then off to homeschooler’s group. A music class, a dance class, an art class. We worked on Amazing Grace in 4-part harmony, learned the Virginia Reel (to some degree, anyway. They enjoyed the stomping and clapping and hooting.) Art class was learning to sketch textures. A seashell. A ball of yarn. They did fairly well.

Picked daddy up from work, did the usual evening chores. Had supper. Fell exhausted into bed.

This morning, pack up the laundry and head out early for a day with nana auntie and cousins. (Also baths/showers and laundry). I don’t see my sister terribly often, so such days are always enjoyed. We spent a couple hours sharing the songs with which God has touched our hearts since we last saw one another. We cried all over each other for awhile. It’s nice to be able to do so.

We have a few extra loads of laundry to do today because there has been some moisture in the. back of the kids’ drawers and some mold has occured. Yaaay.
