Yesterday was both winter and spring. Technically considerably below zero, but the sun was bright and warm and thawed the driveway such that we almost got stuck again.
This morning is stinking freezing. The windows are heavily frosted and I might put on a second sweater. Leftover hot soup for breakfast today.
Yesterday, as the sun turned the snow to ice and made things more and more slippery, we cleaned out the tent, carting bins and boxes and tools and camping equipment up to the loft for storage. All that remains in there is the garden tools, the couch, and piles of trash. The tools and couch we will deal with today. The trash we will transport out a bit at a time.
On one hand, moving the furniture in is satisfying. On the other hand, it makes the space MUCH smaller. I don’t know if all the remaining furniture on the truck will fit, or if we will need a small storage locker somewhere nearby.
Also, it is difficult to place the furniture while we still have to be able to insulate, vapor barrier and canvas-cover the remaining walls. All the same, I look forward to having places to sit for the first time in nearly 6 months. And places to put things away.
