Puttering

Some days are a dead bore.

We’re still in a holding pattern until the insulation comes in, so there isn’t much to do.

Aside from barn chores this morning (in part, beefing up the wall between the goat pens because little Miss Maggie has been practicing parkour and making illegal border crossings, and then getting in fights), the only real job we had scheduled to do was get the bed slats nailed down. That didn’t take a terribly long time.

We also organized, some. Packing up and removing trash, getting the things in the loft separated into distinct areas, sweeping and general tidying.

Tomorrow, I had planned to go for groceries, but I had forgotten it’s a holiday here and most things will be closed. So, we’ll either putter some more, ot take our laundry to mom’s. Not sure yet.

We could move the remaining bins from the tent into the loft (which allows for preparation of the greenhouse, eventually) We could move and set up our bed frame. We could move the rest of the tools. There are things we CAN do. But it’s also supposed to rain and thaw and be super mucky, so tramping in and out on the floor we’re attempting to keep cleanish would not be ideal. Snow tracked in is one thing. Clay muck is another thing entirely.
