Yesterday was gross and we didnt leave the bus unless we had no other option. The wind was very high accompanied by over an inch of rain. Yuck yuck yuck. No good for getting work done.
This morning, very early, I headed to the hardware store a few towns away, as they were the only ones currently stocking Rockwool insulation. I hate the pink fiberglass stuff with an everlasting hatred, and for a barn it would be the worst possible choice, as rodents are rather fond of living in it. The rockwool stuff is both water rodent deterrent.
So today’s tasks were insulating the dividing wall and getting the chicken pen wired. A chicken pen with no wire isnt really a chicken pen at all, after all.
Husband tackled the wall, while mom and I hit the wire.

It’s fun to watch things happen that are visible progress.

In theory, at least, the birds can be transported here sometime next week.
We need many more bags of insulation, the stove and stovepipe, but we are well on our way
