Working on the high wall is not enjoyable. As we added strapping it became slightly less terrifying, but neither of us was looking forward to the sillplate on the top of that wall. And yet, it must be done before we could continue.
Just like on the small wall, the sillplate is a double layer. The bottom layer goes to the very edges of the structure, the top layer stops six inches short of the edge on both ends. It isnt a complicated job, except for the height. And even then, if the height was in the CENTER of the structure, it wouldnt be so bad. It’s the 17ft in the air, on the edge of a building part that both of us dread. It just doesn’t feel safe at all.
It has to be done, however, so stop whining already and do it

It took a while. Finishing the strapping and the sillplate took the whole day, actually. We move slowly and carefully when we feel precarious. It got done, though. The job we had dreaded the most was finally under our belt.
